While there are no formal entry requirements for the Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) you will need to:
- Be able to safely perform manual handling and lifting
- Obtain an applicable screening check prior to work placement
- Have access to a computer that meets the System Requirements for this course
- Attend an information session to assess your suitability for the course
- Undertake a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) skills evaluation

To study this course you will need to:
- Have access to a computer with an internet connection, word processing program and PDF reader
- Have internet access and an email account
- Have access to a webcam, or alternate method to interact with your trainer via video calls or virtual classes where studying via distance

This course is delivered fully online via eLearning with an estimated 12-15 hours of study per week. Learners will have access to additional support via phone, email or video call.
Practical workshops may be required when skills cannot be demonstrated in the workplace.
You will complete 120 hours of compulsory workplace application of skills to assess the competency of the qualification.
